Welcome to our Goalkeeper programs here at Next Gen.

We have two programs for goalkeepers to learn, explore, and evolve their game.

Program 1 - Small Group Training

Goalkeeper Workouts

U10 / U12 / U14 and High School Players

Goalkeeper workouts are an all-around goalkeeper workout experience. Each session will have 10 players divided into two groups of 5. Each group will spend 30 minutes on either the technical saving station or the footwork speed and strength station.

Program 2 - Individual Development

Goalkeeper Personal Training

8 Years and Older

Personal Training for Goalkeepers is a detailed personal experience to help players learn with one instructor during the session.

The Goalkeeper workouts are designed to provide goalkeepers with a challenging and developmental pathway to add to their game!

Each workout will have 10 goalkeepers in total which will be divided into two groups of 5 players. The session will see two different 30-minute stages - The Technical Saving Station and Development Footwork, Speed, and Strength station.

  • Handling and Correct Handshape

  • Low / Mid-height saves

  • Recovery and Body Shape

  • Reaction Saves

  • 1v1 Blocking and K Position / Split Save

Technical Saving Station Topics -

  • Cross Stepping, Drop Step, Angle Development

  • Footwork Position with and without the ball

  • Passing Low, Driven and Chop Passing

  • Side Volley, Throwing and Rolling The Ball

  • Claiming Crosses and Punching

Footwork, Speed and Strength Station Topics -

  • Strength Development with Resistance bands

  • Jump Box Development

  • Flight Speed, and Reaction Development

  • Tight Space Footwork

  • Target Distribution

  • V-Turns / Quick Rolls

  • Jumping

  • Fast Feet Development

  • Footwork Co-Ordination

  • Speed and Movement Development

Goalkeeper Workouts take place on the majority of Wednesday evenings within the month and are bookable via the Next Gen App or via our website. Once a class is full a waiting list for that particular date will be in operation.

Goalkeeper Personal Training - Lets explore this program -

The Goalkeeper Personal Training sessions are one on one detailed development for the student. Each session is 1 hour in length and will consist of practical and theory development. A consultation with the GK before the session will take place to discuss the session plan ahead.

Goalkeeper Personal Training will be added to our Next Gen App when available. Hours could be avlaiable on any day of the week depending on our GK’s coaches’ schedule.
