Next Gen provides two services dedicated to Goalkeepers.

The first program is run by Casey McCluskey and is called our Goalkeeper Workout program. This program consists of 6 goalkeepers working on a chosen topic for that week.

The second program is detailed GK personal training. This service is provided by Scott Anderson and Casey McCluskey. This is a 1 hour session for Goalkeepers.


Goalkeeper Workouts

  • HOW IS THE GK WORKOUTS DESIGNED?

    Players will take part in a specially designed workout program designed and run by GK Casey McCluskey. Each session will consist of 6 student GK’s and each take a turn in the goal during each drill. Casey will address the group with educational points and development throughout the session.

    • Handling and Correct Handshape

    • Low / Mid-height saves

    • Recovery and Body Shape

    • Reaction Saves

    • 1v1 Blocking and K Position / Split Save

    • Technical Saving Station Topics -

    • Cross Stepping, Drop Step, Angle Development

    • Footwork Position with and without the ball

    • Passing Low, Driven, and Chop Passing

    • Side Volley, Throwing, and Rolling The Ball

    • Claiming Crosses and Punching
